Seneca Falls is located halfway between Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lake in the canalized portion of the Seneca River between Lock CS4 and Lock CS2 and CS3. It is a great stop for boaters with free services found at the terminal wall. Seneca Falls is known for its role in the womens' sufferage movement and beauty. Its beauty can be seen as one passes from Lock CS3 onto Van Cheef Lake, which was formed by the canalizing of the river, and sees Trinity Church. This is one of the most photographed places along the canal system, because it looks different with the varying light and conditions found throughout the day.
